The CT-990 is an IP 67 certified walkie-talkie that can be used in extreme weather conditions as it is protected against dust and water for 30 minutes up to a depth of one meter.

The radio comes with two antennas depending on the type of use and requirements, the short antenna provides the user with good radio coverage and a smaller footprint than the long, but allows greater radio coverage. The long antenna is 38 cm and very flexible, the short one is 16.5 cm. Thanks to its 10W, this radio has a good potential to connect a repeater bridge and, for example, to reach distances of several tens of kilometers, up to 50 Km.

The CT-990 is equipped with the Dead Man or ManDown function, very useful when you are alone or isolated. This function constantly monitors the status of the person wearing the radio, and detects a fall to the ground due to illness or injury, in the event that a change in position of the radio from vertical to horizontal is detected.
